(Source – Twitter/X) Pakistan Test team coach Jason Gillespie has talked about the biggest problem of the team ahead of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh in August. The former Australian bowler says that the biggest problem of the team is the lack of consistency, they are not able to perform well with consistency. Pakistan has struggled to win in all formats since the ODI World Cup in India last year. Since then in white ball cricket, the Babar-led team has suffered defeats against the United States of America (USA), Ireland, England, New Zealand, India and other teams. In Test cricket, late last year, they played a three-match Test series against Australia under the captaincy of Shan Masood. In which they lost 0-3. Jason Gillespie told the biggest weakness of Pakistan team Despite Pakistan’s poor performance on the Australia tour, Gillespie has focused on the positive aspects of their performance. “During the last tour of Australia, Pakistan lost the series 0-3, but they played well. There were times in the series when they were dominating the opposition team,” Gillespie was quoted as saying by Geo News. He further said, “Pakistan cricket team is very talented, but lack of consistency in performance is the main problem. We will see how we can bring consistency and stability in performance.” Gillespie further said, “My opinion is that Pakistan’s fielding is their weakness, so this will be my priority. For me, the goal is to see how we play against quality teams.” Pakistan’s Test series against Bangladesh will begin on August 21 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The second Test will be played on August 30 at the National Stadium, Karachi. Pakistan will want to strengthen its position in the WTC points table by winning both these Test matches.

“They have very talented players to choose from”- RCB head coach on Virat’s T20 World Cup selection

Virat Kohli played a brilliant century against Rajasthan Royals on 6th April, which everyone is praising at the moment. But he is also being criticized a lot for the strike rate at which he scored his century. After seeing this inning of his, now there is only one question in everyone’s mind whether he will get a place in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup to be held in June. Now RCB coach Andy Flower has given his opinion on this issue. Speaking about India’s T20 World Cup selection, the RCB coach said that, he does not know what the Indian selectors are thinking at the moment. However, he further said that, Kohli is currently on top among the players available for selection for this ICC event to be held in June. Andy Flower said, “Virat Kohli is a great player and the brilliant innings he played today was excellent. And it was actually really beautiful to see. I really won’t comment on the selection of the Indian team. I don’t know what they’re thinking. They have very talented players to choose from, you know, the team doesn’t have a better player than Virat Kohli in terms of experience.” The RCB coach was highly critical of the team’s batting performance as he felt that Kohli and captain Faf du Plessis failed to utilize the start they had given the team. Flower believes that the team started well with the ball but their momentum ended in the last over of the powerplay. He said, “To be honest, we were a little light in scoring runs. Given the head start we had, I felt that way. So if you look at the 12th over, I think we were at 107 without losing any wicket. I think we should have done that, after being in that position on a good pitch, we should have gone beyond 200, but it did not happen. We started well with the ball, Topli and Yash made a great start but the momentum went in their favor in the last over of the powerplay.
