In this match, Rajasthan Royals easily won against Lucknow Super Giants by 7 wickets. Batting first, Lucknow Super Giants scored 196 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Rajasthan Royals achieved this target in 19 overs by losing only 3 wickets. Assistant coach Lance Klusener gave statement on Lucknow’s defeat After their disappointing performance by Lucknow Supergiants against Rajasthan in Ekana, assistant coach Lance Klusener expressed concern about this. He was certain about the kind of performance they needed to deliver if they were to go on to win the IPL. He said that LSG bowlers lacked execution, who could not put the ball in the right place. He also suggested that the team was 10-15 runs short. In the post-match press conference, Klusener was the first to point out that Akana has never seen big scores, so it is not fair to compare conditions and stadiums, as it has become common for teams to score big this year. Klusener said, ‘I think we just need to be a little more clinical. I think winning the IPL means teams have to ensure that they are on top in everything – batting, bowling, fielding. Klusener further said, ‘We have to make sure we put all those little things together to go deep into the playoff battle later this month. We can neither bat well nor bowl well or field well. So, we just need to make sure we put it all together.’ When will Mayank Yadav return to the team? Klusener also gave a small update on Mayank Yadav’s absence and said, ‘You will see Mayank in the team soon.’
