No franchise bought these players in the first round, but later in the accelerated round, teams completed their squad by purchasing these players. 5) Arjun Tendulkar Arjun Tendulkar, son of the great batsman in cricket history, Sachin Tendulkar, was taken by Mumbai Indians (MI) at a base price of Rs 30 lakh. No team bid on him in the initial round. When Arjun’s name came up in the accelerated bidding, Mumbai decided to buy. He was a part of the Mumbai team earlier also. 4) Ajinkya Rahane Initially no one betted on experienced Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane. He was later bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at a base price of Rs 1.5 crore. He was released by Chennai Super Kings. He performed brilliantly for Chennai in the 2023 season. 3) Lungi Ngidi There was also no special interest in South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs 1 crore in accelerated bidding. This was the base price of Ngidi. He played his last IPL match for Chennai in 2021. 2) Devdutt Padikkal Indian batsman Devdutt Padikkal also remained unsold in the first round. He was taken by RCB in the last round at the base price of Rs 2 crore. He was released by Lucknow Super Giants. Padikkal made his IPL debut for RCB in 2021. His performance in the last few IPL seasons was not that good. 1) Glenn Phillips New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips was also sold in the accelerated round after going unsold in the first round. He was bought by Gujarat Titans in accelerated bidding for Rs 2 crore. This was his base price. Phillips played his last IPL match for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2023.
