In this meeting, decisions are to be taken on many issues ranging from increasing the number of players retained to increasing the purse value. Apart from this, there is another issue, regarding which the IPL owners have raised a demand before the BCCI. Ahead of the meeting, it has emerged that IPL franchises have demanded action from the BCCI against foreign players who withdraw their names from the tournament at the last moment after being bought in the auction. According to a report by Cricbuzz, the franchises have highlighted the issue of foreign players being constantly left out of the league. Franchise demanded action from BCCI According to the report, the actions of players like Jason Roy, Alex Hales and Wanindu Hasaranga, who have previously withdrawn from the IPL due to low bids, have raised concerns for the IPL management. From personal issues to injuries, the reasons for their withdrawal have put a damper on the plans of the franchises and hence they are demanding action from the BCCI on this. Apart from this, franchise owners have also highlighted a pattern where some foreign players refuse to participate in the mega auction and participate in the mini auction so that they can get higher bids. Now these issues will be the main topic of discussion in the meeting to be held on Wednesday evening between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials and the Indian Premier League franchise owners.

The life of a player is different. Because I am not playing test matches. So I will rest my body and stay fresh for the shorter format of the game.
