Smriti Mandhana included among the icon players in the first season of Women’s Maharashtra Premier League (WMPL)

It is noteworthy that the first season of WMPL is going to be held in June this year. Let us tell you that recently Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) had made an announcement regarding the tournament, in which it was said that a total of four teams will participate in the tournament and it will be run by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Through a press release, MCA said- MCA will be the first cricket association to start a state cricket league for women with BCCI. So this tournament is going to start from 24th June 2024. The first match will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium located in Gahunje. Also, let us tell you that apart from Smriti Mandhana, star players like Devika Vaidya, Anuja Patil, Kiran Navgire and Shraddha Pokharkar will also be seen playing in this tournament. Also, the winning team of the first season will be given Rs 20 lakh as a reward, while the runner-up team will be given Rs 10 lakh. The team auction for the tournament is going to be held on April 27, while the players auction will be held on May 11.
