Rahul will be fully fit before the start of the tournament for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). The right-handed batsman is currently suffering from a quadriceps injury, due to which he had to miss the last four matches of the ongoing home Test series against England. KL Rahul was recently ruled out of the fifth and final Test against England as he traveled to England to receive treatment for his injury. The wicketkeeper batsman had to undergo surgery due to an injury in the middle of the 2023 IPL season. Although Rahul recovered in time for the 2023 Asia Cup and ODI World Cup, his workload was closely monitored. During the South Africa tour, he played as a wicketkeeper-batsman in the Tests for India, while in the home series against England, he got a place as a specialist batsman. KL Rahul will start his rehab at NCA soon If some reports are to be believed, Rahul has returned to India and has started his rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bangalore. A BCCI source was quoted by Times of India as saying, “He had consulted specialist doctors in London. He returned to India on Sunday and has checked into the BCCI’s National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for rehab. He should get the return to play certificate from NCA soon. He is eager to prove his worth.” KL Rahul’s place in the Indian team for the 2024 T20 World Cup depends on several factors. Let us tell you that he has not played a single match since the semi-final match of T20 World Cup 2022, so he will have to work hard to make his place in the team for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
