In a spectacular match of the Indian Premier League 2024 played today i.e. on 12th May, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Capitals by 47 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In this match, all the players from Royal Challengers Bangalore performed very well and played an important role in the victory of their team. Delhi Capitals players failed to show good performance against RCB.
Rajat Patidar played an important half-century innings for RCB
Royal Challengers Bangalore, batting first against Delhi Capitals, scored 187 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. The team’s start was not so good in this match and captain Faf du Plessis was out after scoring 6 runs. His wicket was taken by Mukesh Kumar. Virat Kohli had made a very good start in this match but he could only score 27 runs in 13 balls with the help of 1 four and 3 sixes.

Rajat Patidar did not spare any Delhi Capitals bowler and hit hard against all of them. Apart from Rajat Patidar, Will Jacques also batted very well and played an excellent inning of 41 runs. Cameron Green also batted very well and played an important inning of 32* runs in 24 balls with the help of 1 four and 2 sixes. For the Delhi team, Khalil Ahmed took two wickets for 31 runs in four overs while Rasikh Dar Salaam took two wickets for 23 runs in three overs. Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each.
RCB defeated Delhi Capitals at home
Delhi Capitals, who came to chase the target, did not have such a good start and they lost four important wickets for 30 runs. However, Akshar Patel batted very well for Delhi and played an important inning of 57 runs. Apart from Akshar Patel, Shai Hope scored 29 runs.
Delhi Capitals was all out for 140 runs against RCB. For RCB, Yash Dayal took three wickets while Lockie Ferguson took two wickets.
