India won the test series against England 4-1.
India has overtaken Australia to take the number one spot in the ICC Test rankings after registering a 4-1 win over England in the five-match Test series. Let us tell you that the team led by Rohit Sharma had to face defeat despite taking a huge lead of 190 runs in the first innings of the first Test match played in Hyderabad.
After an embarrassing defeat in the first match, Team India under the leadership of Ben Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum won the remaining four matches in Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamshala and shattered their baseball pride.
Team India is currently at number one in all three formats.
After winning the Dharamsala Test match, India regained the top spot in the Test rankings with 122 rating points, while Australia slipped to second place with 117 ratings, while England is at third place with 111 ratings. Despite the result of the ongoing second Test between New Zealand and Australia, the team led by Rohit Sharma is on top.
After reaching the top of the Test rankings, India once again became number one in all three formats of the game.
