What is Hong Kong Success?

The Hong Kong Sixes is an international tournament recognized by the ICC. 8 to 12 teams participate in this tournament. In this, every bowler except the wicket-keeper has to bowl one over. Because of which this tournament is considered more important for the all-rounder. England has won this tournament maximum 5 times. Whereas India became champion in 2005.

Matches are played between two teams of six players each, with an innings consisting of 5 overs. However, in the final match an over is of 8 balls. If 5 wickets fall before the end of 5 overs, the last batsman will bat and the fifth batsman will play the role of runner. The batsman who is not out will have to remain on strike at all times and the innings will end as soon as he is out.

Apart from this, no bilateral series has been played between the two teams for more than a decade. They are seen playing against each other only in ICC and ACC events. On the other hand, Pakistan is going to organize an ICC tournament for the first time in 29 years. But due to India’s stance it is still delayed. Veterans say that a solution should be found regarding hosting, otherwise the event may be in trouble. Now it remains to be seen whether the Pakistan Cricket Board remains firm on its decision or adopts some flexibility.
