The team’s bowling coach Shane Bond has said a big thing about Rajasthan Royals (RR) young cricketer Riyan Parag. He has compared Riyan Parag with Mumbai Indians’ veteran and explosive batsman Suryakumar Yadav. Shane Bond said that like Ryan Parag, Suryakumar Yadav also came to the Mumbai Indians team in a similar manner. Actually, Riyan Parag scored a brilliant unbeaten 54 runs against Mumbai Indians. Despite the failure of all the batsmen, this young player kept his feet on the crease and while chasing the target, his brilliant innings helped the team register a victory by six wickets.

After such a performance by the Assam cricketer, Shane Bond said that Parag reminded him of the young Suryakumar Yadav, who joined Mumbai Indians in 2011. Furthermore, the former New Zealand legend described the 22-year-old as a very talented player. Parag has scored runs for the team this season with the same strength that he had achieved in the domestic tournament. He has shown his excellent form in the IPL and the former New Zealand fast bowler believes that promoting him to No. 4 is quite economical for Rajasthan.

Riyan Parag is currently the orange cap holder this season.

Ryan Parag led Rajasthan Royals to victory by scoring a brilliant half-century in the match played at Wankhede Stadium, home of Mumbai Indians. He played an unbeaten inning of 54 runs in 39 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes. With this, Riyan Parag has now become the highest run-scorer batsman this season. He has scored 181 runs in 3 matches so far and has scored two half-centuries during this period. He currently has the Orange Cap.

Shane Bond has said all these things about Riyan Parag-

During the press conference after the match, RR bowling coach Shane Bond said about Riyan Parag,

“Ryan Parag reminds me a bit of Suryakumar Yadav. Similarly, he had also joined the Mumbai Indians team a few years ago. Riyan Parag is also like this and he has tremendous talent. He has matured quite a bit as a cricketer even though he is only 22 years old.”

“He has had a fantastic domestic season, obviously batting higher up the order. We traded Avesh Khan in place of Devdutt, this was because Ryan had to be brought in a position to play better cricket.”

“Tim David, Dave Millers… these are high quality players who play international cricket. Ryan has been entrusted with this task for many years. He is still very young, but he has a wealth of experience now. We are getting the best performance from them. The investment made by Rajasthan has started bearing fruits. It will be interesting to see what other games he plays for us.”
