The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma is returning home after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title in Barbados. According to reports, Team India will reach Delhi tomorrow on Thursday and there Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet the winning players. After this the Men in Blue will leave for Mumbai.

Team India’s Victory Parade will be held in Mumbai, which has been announced by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah from his official social media handle. He posted on Instagram and wrote, “Join us in the Victory Parade in honor of Team India’s World Cup victory! Come to Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium on July 4 at 5:00 PM to celebrate with us! Save this date.”

Suryakumar Yadav took a historic catch

India defeated South Africa by 7 runs in the final played in Barbados on 29 June. In this thrilling match, Hardik Pandya ensured India’s victory by dismissing Miller in the last over. Suryakumar Yadav took a historic catch of Miller, which will be remembered for a long time in Indian cricket history. A similar catch was taken by Kapil Dev in the 1983 World Cup and by S Sreesanth in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

However, except captain Ben Stokes, every batsman was a flop. Ben Stokes scored the highest score of 37 runs but players like Joe Root and Harry Brook could not contribute much. Nauman Ali took 8 wickets and Sajid Khan took 2 wickets in the second innings for Pakistan.
