San Francisco Unicorns outfielder Carmi Le Roux suffered a serious head injury while playing against the Seattle Orcas during a Major League Cricket (MLC) match at Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina on Wednesday. The incident occurred in the third over of the second innings when Le Roux bowled to Orcas batsman Ryan Rickelton.
Carmi Le Roux bowled a full toss just outside the off stump and Rickelton hit it hard in front. Before Le Roux could understand anything, the ball hit his head. He did not have time to react and his head started bleeding immediately. The on-field umpire immediately called the medical team. Roux was then taken off the field and Corey Anderson completed the over in his place.
