Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat against India by 6 runs in the T20 World Cup 2024 group stage round. Team India was all out for 119 runs in 19 overs while batting first. Pakistan could score only 113 runs while chasing the target of 120 runs.
Former great players are criticizing Pakistan’s performance fiercely, and now Mohammad Hafeez has also joined in. Hafeez has made a big statement about the Pakistan Cricket Board, which has created an uproar in the entire cricket world.
Nobody wants to play domestic cricket- mohammad hafeez
Former Pakistan director Mohammad Hafeez has claimed that the board had struck a deal with Mohammad Aamir and Imad Wasim, after which they withdrew their retirement. Hafeez has also accused the board of not promoting players playing domestic cricket.
After Pakistan’s defeat against India, Mohammad Hafeez while talking on local TV channel PTV Sports said, ‘They brought them here with greed, made deals with players who ruined Pakistan cricket. I was in the domestic circuit, but no one wanted to play domestic cricket. This is because they were telling me, Hafeez bhai, if anyone of us gets selected, we will take him. How is it possible that players who don’t even play domestic cricket in Pakistan get selected?
Hafeez further said,Six months ago when he was asked to play for Pakistan he said he wanted to play in the league. Now since there is no league these days he is playing in the World Cup. He is playing in the World Cup as if it is some other league.
Different shades of so called Professor – Mr. Mohammad Hafeez. Was he not holding a glove to contact Imad and Aamir?
Was he not in PCB when it was told that “Harris is being rested”?pic.twitter.com/iLSxnWZMAj— Zubair Shakeel Wani (@ZubiTalks) June 10, 2024
