RCB wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has joined SA20, his decision came after retiring from IPL as a player.
Indian players who are playing in overseas leagues: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made it clear to the cricketers of the country that if they want to participate in foreign T20 leagues, they will not be allowed to do so. According to BCCI rules, any Indian player who is under contract cannot be a part of any other league, whether it is for the position of a player or mentor.
Players will have to retire completely to play in another league, which means that the player will have to retire from domestic cricket along with international cricket, i.e., he will have to give up playing in the IPL. But no young player will do this by putting his career at risk.
However, some players have found a solution to this. Players are retiring from cricket and then going to play in foreign competitions.
