Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has criticized the poor performance of IPL’s most expensive player Mitchell Starc.
In the mini auction held before IPL 2024, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Rs 24.75 crore. With this he became the most expensive player in IPL history. Obviously, when a player is bought for so much money, the expectations from him increase a lot. However, Starc has not been able to perform as per expectations in the ongoing IPL season.

Mitchell Starc gave 11 runs in the first over and 13 runs in the second over against Rajasthan Royals. He bowled both these overs in the powerplay. After this he gave eight runs in the 10th over. He gave 18 runs in the 18th over. Thanks to this over, Rajasthan was successful in making a comeback in the match. RR needed only 28 runs in the last two overs. Harshit Rana and Varun Chakraborty could not defend 28 runs in the last 2 overs. Rajasthan won on the last ball of the match.
Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by two wickets in a thrilling match on Tuesday. At one time Kolkata team was winning the match easily but no KKR batsman could dismiss Butler.
