Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja retire from T20Is after winning T20 World Cup 2024
Team India recently won the T20 World Cup 2024 title. After this, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja decided to retire from T20I. Kohli batted brilliantly against South Africa in the final and won the Player of the Match award. However, Ravindra Jadeja could not do justice to his performance. Still, his game in the shortest format of the game has been incredible.
Now there is a debate on who will replace the three players in the Indian team after their retirement from T20 Internationals. Meanwhile, former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has given his reaction on this. Along with this, he has praised Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja after their retirement announcement.

Brett Lee said in an exclusive interview with Crictracker, “Look, I think they should appreciate those three cricketers because you know they are all amazing. They are going to be players in their own right and coaching staff and a former player turned coach. Obviously Rohit Sharma, Kohli, Jadeja have done brilliantly for so many years.
“He has set the standards of Indian cricket so high that it has become easier for players to come in, but I think it has also become somewhat difficult to fill those big positions,” the former Australian fast bowler said.
He further said, but now it is up to the next generation. They have a big responsibility. The thing with sports is that you cannot play forever. You should not play forever and you should not stop the players either. So when it is your time, enjoy it, celebrate it. What a great way to go out and now look forward to the next generation.
