The third and final T20 match was played between Afghanistan and Ireland in Sharjah on 18 March. Afghanistan won this match by 57 runs and won the three-match T20 series 2-1. However, during the match, a controversial decision of no-ball was given by the field umpire, due to which Ireland could not hold on to the match and they had to face defeat. Actually, Ben White had come to bowl the 13th over of Afghanistan’s innings for Ireland. At that time Afghanistan had lost 3 wickets for 83 runs.

Mohammad Ishaq played an aggressive shot towards deep midwicket off the ball of Ben White. However, Curtis Campher was standing at that place and he caught this catch very well. However, the field umpire signaled no-ball soon after. When the replays were seen, it was found that Ben White’s foot was inside the crease.

All the players of Ireland were quite surprised by this decision of the field umpire. He was seen talking to the umpire for a long time but in the end the result was no-ball.

Afghanistan won the T20 series
