Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya had to face heavy criticism during IPL 2024. A large section of fans did not support Hardik when he switched from Gujarat Titans to Mumbai Indians and became the captain. Apart from this, his form was also poor during IPL 2024, due to which fans trolled him.

However, with the arrival of the T20 World Cup, Hardik Pandya has returned to his rhythm. In India’s first match against Ireland, he proved his ability and bowled brilliantly. He took three wickets for 27 runs in his four-over spell. Sunil Gavaskar is very impressed with his performance and has praised Hardik a lot.

He bowled four consecutive overs, which is commendable: Sunil Gavaskar

Speaking on Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar said, “Playing for India is a big deal. The way he was running was quite impressive. He bowled four consecutive overs, which is commendable. It is not like he bowled two overs and took a break.”

On his performance against Ireland, Hardik said that I really liked the first wicket. Generally, I did not hit the ball on the stumps often, my tendency is to bowl back of length. But on this wicket I needed to bowl a lot more full length to stay in the game. Yes, if you bowl short, the ball can go in the air.

Talking about the India vs Ireland match, the Ireland batsmen fell to their knees in front of the Indian bowlers. The Irish team collapsed for 96 runs in 16 overs. In reply, India achieved the target in 12.2 overs by losing two wickets. Captain Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant half-century. Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten 36 runs.
