Due to India’s bad political relations against Pakistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has refused to go to Pakistan and play in the Champions Trophy 2025. However, it is not yet clear whether India is participating in the tournament or not?

On the other hand, there is a possibility that India, the runners-up of the 2017 season, may play their Champions Trophy matches in some other country under the hybrid model. So amidst these discussions, a big statement of former Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman Rashid Latif has come out.

Latif says that the world of cricket depends on the India-Pakistan (India vs Pakistan) match and irrespective of the venue, both the countries will definitely play against each other.

There are a lot of things at stake. Broadcasters have a lot at stake. 3 billion are at stake. So, there is no way they would say that it is not good for India and Pakistan to play against each other.

Latif further said- I think Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will also somehow agree and come to a conclusion about where to play and what to do. This is because the world of cricket depends on it.

The world of cricket depends on India-Pakistan match. According to my opinion it is going to happen, but I don’t know when, but PCB, ICC and BCCI will definitely plan something. Some people may fool the fans, but they will definitely play.
