Cricket Pakistan quoted Saqlain Mushtaq as saying, ‘The simple thing is that if India wants to come, it can come.

If they don’t want to come, that’s okay. There is no point in making a fuss about it. It will not make any side good or bad. It is an ICC event and they will look into the matter, as they should.

Let us tell you that Pakistan also got the hosting of Asia Cup 2023. But Team India refused to go to Pakistan to play the tournament. After this the tournament was played in a hybrid model, under which Sri Lanka was also made the co-host of the tournament. Team India played all its matches in Sri Lanka.

The BCCI has proposed to the ICC to conduct the Champions Trophy 2025 under a hybrid model. If this happens, the Indian team will play all its matches in Sri Lanka or the UAE.
