Ness Wadia and Shahrukh Khan had rushed to the BCCI and Honours meeting.
On July 31, a meeting was held between the officials and the owners of all the teams regarding IPL 2025 at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. After this meeting, a news came out in the media, in which it was told that in the meeting between the owners and the officials, Punjab Kings co-owner Ness Wadia and Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shahrukh Khan got into a fight.
This news spread rapidly on social media, but after this clarifications have started coming on it. Ness Wadia said that there is no truth in the matter of argument between me and Shahrukh. The report claims that Ness Wadia wants a mega auction and he had a heated argument with Shahrukh regarding this. But Ness Wadia has now rejected all these reports.
Ness Wadia clarified about his fight with Shahrukh Khan
Ness Wadia was quoted by Sportstar as saying, “I have known Shah Rukh long before the IPL started. I have great respect for him and his family. We are very old friends and I know his family and there is no truth in such baseless news.”
The matter is that, regarding IPL 2025, many teams want that maximum number of players should be allowed to be retained and the mega auction should be held once in five years, but some franchises were not in favor of this. They said that at least players should be allowed to be retained and RTM i.e. Right to Match card should be used.
However, most teams seemed to agree that 4-5 players should be retained and one or two uncapped players should be allowed to be retained separately. Now it remains to be seen what decision BCCI will take in this regard.
