A total of 20 Kiwi players have got central contracts.
Young all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, who performed brilliantly for the New Zealand cricket team last season, has managed to get his first central contract with New Zealand Cricket.
It is worth noting that recently the New Zealand Cricket Board (NZC) has released the list of 20 players who have received this central contract. Apart from Rachin, this list includes 4 more players, whose names have surprised everyone.
Also, let us tell you that the name of former captain Kane Williamson is not seen in this contract. The four other players who have got a place in this list include fast bowler Ben Seers from Wellington, Will O’Rourke from Cantonberry and Jacob Duffy from Otago.
Also, let us tell you that Rachin Ravindra getting this contract was definitely included because he has performed brilliantly for the Kiwi team in the last one year. He was the fourth highest run-scorer in the World Cup 2023 tournament, Ravindra scored 578 runs in the tournament. Apart from this, he was also successful in winning the ICC Emerging Player of the Year award in January 2023.
Also, a few months later, Rachin Ravindra became the youngest Kiwi player to win the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal at the ANZ New Zealand Cricket Awards. And now, after getting the central contract of the New Zealand cricket team, the burden of proving himself will once again be on his shoulders.
