A source close to Himanshu said that the chief selector of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Ajit Agarkar, was very happy with the bowling of the young player and that is why he has got this golden opportunity.

A source told The Times of India, ‘Himanshu Singh is 6 feet and 4 inches tall and his bowling action is quite similar to that of Ravichandran Ashwin. The first Test between India and Bangladesh is starting from September 19. This match will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. After this, the second Test between these two teams will be played in Kanpur.
