The four-match T20 series between South Africa and India is going to start from today i.e. 8th November. The first match of this T20 series will be played in Durban. Both the teams are fully prepared for the upcoming T20 series. However, before this T20 series, South African captain Aiden Markram has given a big statement.

According to Aiden Markram, he is not looking at this four-match T20 series to avenge the defeat against Team India in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Let us tell you that the final match of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was played in Barbados, which Team India won by 7 runs.

At one time in this final, South Africa were in a very good position and they needed only 30 runs in the last five overs. But Team India made a strong comeback and won the match. Aiden Markram said that his entire focus will be on performing well in the home series against Team India and he would definitely like to make it his name.

Aiden Markram said during the press conference before the match, ‘It is the same country I think but individually there has been a lot of change in both the teams. It is always an exciting series against Team India especially when you are playing at home. Our eyes are on winning this series. This is not a rematch. There is a lot of talk going on about this series which I can completely understand.

How many players from the T20 World Cup final will be seen playing in the upcoming series?

Let us tell you that after the victory of T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja have retired from this format. Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah were also part of the playing XI of the final but they have been rested in this series. Suryakumar Yadav will be seen captaining Team India in the upcoming series while the squad also includes Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh.
