Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Let us tell you that this time this tournament is starting from June 2 under the joint hosting of West Indies and USA. All the teams are seen finalizing their preparations for the Multination Tournament.

On the other hand, taking this sequence forward, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has taken a big step. Let us tell you that on the request of the board, former fast bowler of Pakistan cricket team and known as Sultan of Swing, Wasim Akram has reached Sri Lanka for a two-day workshop. Here he will be seen teaching bowling tricks to Sri Lankan bowlers and also sharing his experiences. So regarding this, Sri Lanka Cricket President Shammi Silva informed that the training program of the players is starting from May 2, 2024.

Let us tell you that while giving more information on this matter, Sri Lanka Cricket quoted News 18 as saying – Overall, Wasim Akram will organize five training seasons with SLC Pace Academy, High Performance Center (HPC) and some major cricket clubs. He will also oversee the preparations of the national team players for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

On the other hand, if we tell you about the T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka will start its winning campaign with the match against South Africa on June 3. It is noteworthy that this time a total of 20 teams are participating in the tournament, which have been divided into groups of five each. So the England cricket team is the defending champion of the T20 World Cup.

Teams included in Group A: India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada and USA.

Teams included in Group B: Scotland, Oman, England, Australia, Namibia.

Teams included in Group C: New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea.

Teams included in Group D: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal, South Africa.
