So, with this honor, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma, batsman Suryakumar Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dubey were called to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for the honor, because all four of them play domestic cricket for Mumbai. The players of his state were honored by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde by presenting them a shawl, a bouquet and a statue of Lord Ganesha.

Rohit Sharma gave a big statement
Let us tell you that Rohit Sharma said as quoted by NI- My greetings to everyone. Many thanks to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for inviting me here. Thank you for organizing such an event for us in the Legislative Assembly. What I saw in Mumbai yesterday was a dream. It was our dream to win the World Cup. I missed the opportunity in 2023. This is not because of Surya, Dubey or me, it has happened because of everyone.
Rohit further said- All my colleagues were with me, that’s why this has happened. The hero of every match was different. Surya did not catch the catch, well, I had a catch in my hand, otherwise I would have kept it in front of me. Thank you very much to all of you for this honor. (Marathi translation).
