Pakistan recently lost the 5-match T20 series against New Zealand 4-1. Earlier, Australia made a clean sweep in the Test series. Former cricketer Javed Miandad has expressed grief over the condition of the Pakistan team. He believes that the constant change in the coaching staff is affecting the confidence of the players.

Actually, after a good start in 2023, Pakistan cricket team faced many setbacks. The team failed to perform well first in the Asia Cup and then in the ODI World Cup. After this, many changes took place in Pakistan cricket, in which Babar Azam left the captaincy in all formats and in his place Shan Masood was made the captain in Test and Shaheen Afridi in T20.

Additionally, former batsman Mohammad Hafeez was appointed Director of Cricket after the World Cup, while Wahab Riaz was made the head of the National Selection Committee. However, since the appointments of both, the Pakistan team has not won any match.

People who have no knowledge of cricket…

On this condition of Pakistan team, Javed Miandad said, I have not seen such administration of cricket anywhere in the world as we see in Pakistan. These situations are really sad. I don’t think anywhere in cricket appointments and changes are made so frequently and it only means that there is no continuity in our cricket structure. And more importantly, the confidence of the players is not increasing.

He further said, our team has not performed well since last year. People who have no knowledge of cricket, sit and take such decisions which affect the entire structure of the country.
