R Sai Kishore has become the most expensive player sold in the TNPL auction.
Even after the recent second Test match against England in Visakhapatnam, Indian cricket team’s experienced bowler Ravichandran Ashwin was seen with his team Dindigul Dragons in the auction held for the upcoming season of Tamil Nadu Premier League on 7th February.
So this is not the first time that he has been seen at the auction table with his team. Earlier in February last year, during the Test series against Australia, Ashwin had taken out time and reached Chennai to participate in the auction with the team.
Last season, Dindigul Dragons had retained Ashwin for four matches, but after that he could not participate in the remaining TNPL season due to playing in the World Test Championship. In the four matches played, Ashwin took four wickets while bowling at an economy of 7.12. So Sanjay Yadav’s excellent catch and use of DRS were some of the special moments of Ashwin this season.

Ashwin close to taking 500 wickets in Test
So let us tell you that Indian cricket team’s spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is going to touch the figure of 500 wickets in Test cricket very soon. It is noteworthy that at present Ashwin has 499 wickets in Test cricket. Ashwin had a chance to achieve this record in the second Test match against England in Visakhapatnam, but he could not do so.
But when the third match of the ongoing five-match Test series will be played between India and England at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot from February 15, then in this match Ashwin will have a golden opportunity to touch the figure of 500 wickets in Test cricket.
