Before the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) starting from November 22, there is a continuous discussion about the form of senior batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

In the recently concluded three-match Test series against New Zealand, Rohit and Virat scored 91 and 93 runs respectively. India also had to face 3-0 defeat in the series. After such performances by the current captain and the former captain, the Indian management has been forced to think about the future of both the players in the longest format of the game.

On the other hand, amidst all this, a big statement of former Australian cricketer Mike Hussey has come out. Hussey says that it is absolutely ridiculous for cricket pundits to say that Rohit Sharma is finished and Virat Kohli is no longer good.

Mike Hussey gave a big statement

In a recent conversation with Times of India before the start of BGT, Mike Hussey said – We have seen champion players being dropped from the team many times. Cricket pundits come out and say that Rohit Sharma is finished and Virat Kohli is no longer good. I mean, it’s absolutely ridiculous. He is a legend and a great player. He is a player to be proud of.

Hussey further said- If you dismiss them, you will end up having a negative impact on your face, because they will perform well again. They’re so good you don’t want to do that. I think it is foolish to write him off and also to write off the Indian team.

Well, now it will be worth watching how these two great players are going to perform against Australia in Australia? However, due to the birth of his second child, captain Rohit will not be able to take part in the first Test match to be held in Perth.

The first match between the two teams is to be played in Perth from 22 November. Meanwhile, Australian rain spoiled the mood of Team India. It rained in Perth on Tuesday (19 November), due to which the team had to cancel the practice session. But this rain did not make any difference to King Kohli. He continued batting in the nets despite the rain. Due to heavy rain, Virat Kohli had to leave the nets in the end The practice session on Tuesday (November 19) was just a routine training day, but Virat Kohli, who is struggling with poor form, wanted to take full advantage of it. He batted diligently despite the rain, even though the entire team had left the field. However, after some time it started raining heavily, after which Virat also had to leave the nets. Journalist Bharat Sundaresan tweeted on his social media handle and wrote, This seems to be the top-6, based on how they played in the nets before practice was halted due to rain. Virat Kohli did not want to stop batting, the rain had increased in intensity and he had no option but to run away with the rest of the team. Looks even more like this is the top 6 based on how they went in the nets before rain halted practice. Whereas Virat Kohli will bat at number-4.
