India was all out for 174 runs in the final.
Australia defeated India in the final of the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 and won the trophy of this fantastic tournament. In this important match, Australia’s bowlers bowled very well and played an important role in their team’s victory. The Indian team’s dream of winning this wonderful tournament once again was completely shattered.
Let us tell you, Australia Youth team won the toss in this match and decided to bat first. Batting first, the team scored 253 runs losing 7 wickets in 50 overs. The excellent young batsman Harjas Singh played a valuable inning of 55 runs in 64 balls with the help of three fours and three sixes. He handled one end very well and scored runs continuously. Apart from Harjas Singh, Oliver Peak played a brilliant inning of 46* runs in 43 balls with the help of 2 fours and 1 six.
Harry Dixon contributed 42 runs while captain Hugh Weibgen played an excellent inning of 38 runs. Ryan Dix scored 20 runs. For India, Raj Limbani took 3 wickets for 38 runs in 10 overs while Naman Tiwari took two wickets. Soumya Pandey and Musheer Khan took 1-1 wicket.
Indian team’s batsmen performed very disappointingly.
The Indian team, which came to chase the target, had a very bad start and wickets kept falling at regular intervals. This is the reason why the team had to face defeat in this match. Arshin Kulkarni scored only three runs in this match while Adarsh Singh played an inning of 47 runs in 77 balls with the help of four fours and one six. Musheer Khan contributed 22 runs. Captain Uday Saharan could not leave his mark in this match and was out after scoring 8 runs.
Sachin Das also returned to the pavilion after scoring 9 runs. Murugan Abhishek played an excellent inning of 42 runs for his team but he failed to lead India to victory. India was all out for 174 runs in the final. Australia team will be very happy with this victory. All the bowlers for Australia took wickets.
