During the Duleep Trophy 2024 match being played between India C and India D in Anantapur, a fan broke the security cordon and entered the field. This incident happened on the second day of the match, when a fan entered the field to meet Rituraj Gaikwad and even touched his feet. In this match, Rituraj Gaikwad is captaining the India C team. The format of the Duleep Trophy is different and four teams have been formed in it, in which many stars of the Indian cricket team are participating.

In the video going viral on social media, Rituraj Gaikwad shook hands with the fan and behaved well with him. India D bowlers bowled brilliantly under the leadership of Harshit Rana in the second match of the four-day Duleep Trophy on Friday and bundled out India C for a paltry 168 in the first innings. India C got a lead of just four runs on the basis of the first innings.

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 46 runs in the second innings

Gaikwad made a good comeback with a strong innings of 46 runs in India C’s second innings. He played this brilliant innings after getting out for a cheap score of just five runs in the first innings. Harshit Rana’s ball took the edge of his bat and went into the hands of Atharva Taide, who took an easy catch in the slip.

Talking about the previous innings, India C looked in a strong position after the 40th over and needed 60 runs with a day and a half remaining. At the time of writing, Baba Indrajith (2*) and Abhishek Porel (1*) were the two batsmen at the crease.

Earlier on Thursday, India C won the toss and decided to field first and its bowlers justified this decision by not allowing the batsmen of India D to settle down. Due to the excellent performance of the bowlers, India C bundled out India D for a paltry 164 runs on the first day.

Finn praised him a lot and even said that he is the best player in the world. Speaking with former England captain Alastair Cook on TNT Sports, Steven Finn said, “Jaiswal scored a brilliant 161, but he is the player I like to watch. That is Jasprit Bumrah. I think he really is the best player in the world. Honestly, sometimes I think bowling like him is a joke! You see him bowling and you just think, I’m glad I don’t have to come out to bat.” He further said, “I was surprised that India went there (Australia) and defeated Australia, where usually it is very difficult to go and play cricket. Perth, I know it’s not the WACA; I know it’s a new stadium, but still, historically, Australia hasn’t lost many matches there. I thought India performed very bravely there.” Let us tell you that, Bumrah now has 118 wickets in 27 Test matches in SENA countries at an impressive average of 22.55, which also includes his career best performance (6/33). During this period, he has taken five wicket hauls 7 times, which is equal to Kapil Dev. They are followed by BS Chandrashekhar and Zaheer Khan (six each), and Bishan Singh Bedi and Anil Kumble (five each).
