Glenn Maxwell once again failed to play a big innings. He walked out after scoring only 16 runs in 21 balls.
The second ODI match between Australia and Pakistan was played today in Adelaide, where Pakistan defeated host Australia by 9 wickets. Batting first, the Kangaroo team managed to score only 163 runs in 35 overs. In response, Pakistan achieved the target by losing 1 wicket in 26.3 overs.
During the match, Australia’s star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell once again failed to play a big innings. He walked out after scoring only 16 runs in 21 balls. Pakistan bowlers displayed excellent bowling, especially Haris Rauf. All-rounder Glenn Maxwell was present at the crease after Australia lost 6 wickets on the score of 129.
The team was expecting a big innings from him, but his poor form continued. Facing Haris Rauf in the 28th over, Maxwell tried to pull the ball, but the ball hit his bat and went straight to the wickets and the wickets shattered. Haris Rauf got his fourth wicket as Maxwell.

Series tied at 1-1
Talking about the match, Pakistan won the toss and invited Australia to bat first. Pak bowlers proved their captain’s decision right and took wickets of the opposition team at regular intervals. The Kangaroo team could not play the entire over and was all out after scoring 135 runs in 35 overs. Steve Smith played the highest innings of 35 runs for the team. Haris Rauf bowled brilliantly for Pakistan. He took 5 wickets for 29 runs in 8 overs. Shaheen Afridi got 3 wickets, while Naseem Shah and Hasnain took 1 wicket each.
Chasing the target of 164 runs, the Pakistan team had a good start and Sam Ayub and Abdullah Shafiq made a partnership of 137 runs for the first wicket. Ayub scored the first half-century of his ODI career. He scored 82 runs in 71 balls with the help of 5 fours and 6 sixes. After this, Shafiq along with Babar Azam took the team to the target. Shafiq returned unbeaten after scoring 64 runs, while Babar Azam remained unbeaten after scoring 15 runs.
Let us tell you that Pakistan had lost the first ODI at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), but by winning the second match, they have leveled the series 1-1. Now the third and deciding match of the series will be played on 10 November at Perth Stadium.
