Half of Australia’s team returned to the pavilion for just 54 runs.
The second Test match between Australia and West Indies is being played at Gabba, Brisbane. On the second day of the game, Kevin Sinclair took a brilliant catch to dismiss Marnus Labuschagne, the video of which went viral on the internet. It is noteworthy that in response to West Indies’ 311 runs, Australia lost four wickets for 24 runs till the tea break.
In fact, Australia got its first blow in the form of Steve Smith in the very first over of the innings. He became the victim of Kemar Roach after scoring just 6 runs. After this, Marnus Labuschagne returned to the pavilion in the second over of Alzarri Joseph. The ball took the outside edge of his bat and went to fourth slip, where Kevin Sinclair jumped to his right and took a brilliant catch.

After this, fast bowler Kemar Roach pushed the Kangaroo team on the backfoot by dismissing Cameron Green (8) and Travis Head (0) in the last over before the tea break on the second day. Earlier, Steve Smith once again failed as an opening batsman in Test. He was given out LBW by Kemar Roach. Half of Australia’s team has returned to the pavilion for just 54 runs.
However, Usman Khawaja and Alex Carey handled the innings and took the team’s score beyond 100. Both the batsmen are currently present at the crease. Till the time of writing, Australia has scored 114 runs after losing 5 wickets and is behind West Indies by 197 runs with 5 wickets remaining.
Earlier, West Indies team was all out after scoring 311 runs in the first innings. Debutant Sinclair scored 50 runs in 98 balls, which included five fours and a six. He was the last batsman to be dismissed in the West Indies innings, stumped by off-spinner Nathan Lyon.
