The Indian cricket team recently won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. This was the second time India won the ICC Trophy after the first season in 2007. Rohit became the second captain to win the T20 World Cup for India.

So after winning this trophy, India ended the long drought of not winning any ICC trophy. India won any ICC trophy after 11 years, any World Cup after 13 years and T20 World Cup after 17 years.

In his 17-year T20 career, Rohit played a total of 159 matches for the Indian cricket team in which he scored a total of 4231 runs at an average of 31.34 and a strike rate of 140.89. Also, Rohit is the player who has played the most matches in men’s T20 international cricket.
