Dravid has resigned from the post of coach and will now focus on grooming future talent
Under the leadership and guidance of Rahul Dravid, the Indian team has finally won the ICC trophy after a wait of 11 years. India won the T20 World Cup 2024 title by defeating South Africa in the final in Barbados. With this, the tenure of coach Rahul Dravid has ended and now the BCCI is looking for a new head coach, in which Gautam Gambhir’s name is at the top.
Rahul Dravid is currently in Bengaluru, where young cricketers gave him a guard of honour at a local cricket academy. Rahul Dravid worked tirelessly with the Indian team and struggled a lot to make the team a champion, as a result of which he has received this honour today. The young talent and coaching staff of the cricket academy honoured former India coach Rahul Dravid.
The youngsters raised their bats to give him a guard of honour and the coaching staff gave him a rousing welcome. The World Cup winning coach happily shook hands with everyone and looked overwhelmed by the warm welcome.

Let us tell you that Rahul Dravid made his international cricket debut in 1996 and played for India till 2012, but winning the World Cup was a dream for him. Now he has lived this dream as a coach. The 2007 World Cup defeat as captain and the 2023 World Cup defeat as coach broke him, but he ended his career on a happy note by winning the 2024 T20 World Cup title.
