Sarfaraz Khan scored a brilliant century on the fourth day of the first Test being played against New Zealand. However, even before completing his century, he did something whose video is going viral on social media. Rishabh Pant came to the field to bat along with Sarfaraz on the fourth day. Pant narrowly escaped being run out in the seventh over of the day. During this, Sarfaraz did something, the video of which is now going viral.

Sarfaraz played Matt Henry’s ball towards backward point, he ran the first run quickly, but then seeing the ball in the fielder’s hand, did not go for the second run. However, Pant did not look at him and started running for the second run. Pant had crossed more than half the pitch and on the other hand, Sarfaraz was trying his best to stop him.

When Rishabh Pant narrowly escaped being run out

To stop Rishabh, Sarfaraz shouted loudly and started jumping on the pitch. He was also shaking both his hands so that somehow Pant could see that he was not going to run. Eventually Pant saw him and returned back to his crease. During this, Devon Conway also made a bad throw and wicketkeeper Tom Blundell, who caught it, also made a big mistake.

First Blundell moved away from the wicket to catch the throw and then he could not understand what to do. Instead of hitting the ball at the striker’s end, he attempted a throw at the other end but the ball remained in his hands. Because of this Pant narrowly escaped being run out.

Talking about the match, before the fourth day’s play was stopped due to rain, the brilliant batting of Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant brought India back into the match. Sarfaraz Khan scored the first century of his Test career, while Rishabh Pant is at the crease scoring his 12th Test half-century. There was also a century partnership between the two for the fourth wicket. Sarfaraz is present at the crease after scoring 125 runs and Pant has scored 53 runs. India is now 12 runs behind New Zealand and has 7 wickets in hand.
