However, this victory of the team may cost heavily on their owner Shahrukh Khan. Actually Shahrukh Khan had reached Eden Gardens to support his team. But inside the field he did something for which now everyone is criticizing him.
Shahrukh Khan was caught smoking on camera during the match. This video is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Shahrukh Khan is often in the headlines for his smoking habit and during this match, he could not stop himself from doing so even at the Eden Gardens Stadium. During the Kolkata innings, Shahrukh was caught on camera smoking a cigarette in the corporate box of the stadium.
After watching his video and photos, fans are criticizing him a lot on social media. Fans have slammed Shahrukh for this and called it a wrong message for the youth. It is worth noting that Shahrukh has often been embroiled in controversies during the IPL season, this is not the first time that he has been caught smoking in the stadium during an IPL match.
Let us tell you that earlier also during the 2012 season, he was seen smoking cigarette in the stadium. Then Shahrukh was caught smoking a cigarette at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. In this matter, a case was also registered against him in the local court of Jaipur. Apart from this, due to his fight with the ground staff at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, he was banned from coming to the stadium for many years.
Talking about this match, this was the third match of IPL 2024 between KKR and SRH. In this match, SRH captain Pat Cummins decided to bowl first after winning the toss. KKR’s batting did not start well but due to Andre Russell’s explosive batting in the lower order, the team scored a huge score of 208 runs. In response, despite Heinrich Klaasen’s excellent half-century innings, Hyderabad could score only 204 runs in 20 overs.
