Before the start of the eliminator match, there was news that Virat Kohli had received death threats, due to which the team had canceled the practice session. But let us tell you that Kohli did not receive any such threat, the team had canceled the practice session in Ahmedabad due to heatwave.
There was no terrorist threat – GCA Secretary
According to a report filed by Times of India, RCB had decided to cancel the practice session in Ahmedabad due to the heatwave. Gujarat Cricket Association Secretary Anil Patel confirmed that there was no terrorist threat, and revealed the real reason behind the cancellation of the practice session, revealing that RCB was scheduled to practice from 3-6 pm at the Gujarat College Ground, but they opted out of the summer. Due to this it was cancelled.
Anil Patel told, ‘There was no terrorist threat. Both Rajasthan Royals and RCB were scheduled to practice at the Gujarat College Ground. RCB was supposed to practice from 2 to 5 pm, but they changed it to 3-6 pm because in summers in Ahmedabad, the light is good till 6.30 pm.
Patel further said, ‘RCB abandoned their practice session due to the ongoing heat in the city. We told RCB that they can use the indoor practice facility there, or the indoor facility at the Narendra Modi Stadium. However, due to the heat, RCB did not want to practice.
