Virat Kohli is the batsman who scored the most runs in IPL 2024.
In the ongoing IPL, former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli has expressed his opinion regarding the Impact Player rule. Kohli believes that because of this new rule in IPL, bowlers are feeling helpless.
Also, Kohli says that due to the impact player rule, teams get an extra batsman, after which he can make an impact in the match. With the arrival of an extra batsman, players feel that every ball bowled by them will go for a four or a six.
Virat Kohli expressed his opinion regarding the impact player rule
Let us tell you that recently in an interview with Jio Cinema, Virat Kohli said- I agree with Rohit Sharma on this matter. You see, there is entertainment on one side in this IPL but the bowlers have become completely helpless.
Kohli further said- I have never experienced such a thing before where bowlers feel that every ball can go for four or six runs. It’s like a very high level of cricket. In my opinion, it (the impact player rule) shouldn’t be that impactful. The beauty of cricket is the equal battle between bat and ball.
On the other hand, if we give you information about Virat Kohli’s team RCB, today on 18th May they have to play an important match against Chennai Super Kings to make it to the playoffs. Let us tell you that this match between the two teams will be played at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Whichever team wins this match, it will become the fourth team overall to make it to the playoffs of the tournament. However, to reach the playoffs, RCB will have to win by at least 18 runs or chase the target till the 18th over.
