Former captain of the Indian cricket team and legendary batsman Virat Kohli has reached New York for the T20 World Cup 2024. Kohli reached New York on Friday evening, 31 May, after a 16-hour long flight. However, after reaching here today, it is uncertain whether he will participate in the practice match against Bangladesh at the Nassau Cricket Stadium on June 1.

It is worth noting that the Orange Cap holder of IPL 2024 and the experienced cricketer had asked for a break from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for some time after the IPL. But now he has reached New York for the much-awaited T20 World Cup.

Also, after reaching here, Kohli has not even participated in the optional practice session. Apart from this, his chances of playing in the practice match against Bangladesh are also very less. Regarding Kohli, a senior BCCI source told Hindustan Times – Virat Kohli has checked in at the team hotel and he will rest after a long flight.
