Former Pakistan all-rounder Mudassar Nazar termed the comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam as nonsense and said that there is a lot of difference between the two players.
Often on social media, fans of Pakistan and Babar Azam compare him with one of the great batsmen, Virat Kohli. Now former Pakistan all-rounder Mudassar Nazar termed the comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam as nonsense and said that there is a lot of difference between the two players. According to Mudassar, Kohli is one of the great players of the game, while Babar is still to make a name for himself.
Kohli and Babar are counted among the best batsmen of the present era. Both the players admire each other a lot and have expressed this openly on many occasions.
Fans of India and Pakistan constantly make comparisons between the two, but Mudassar believes that both the players are not even in the same league yet. Speaking to news agency PTI, he said:
There is a world of difference between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam: Mudassar Nazar
“I mean there’s a lot of difference between the two players. Virat will be remembered as one of the greatest players to grace the game. At the same time, Babar still has to make a name for himself.”

Comparison between Kohli and Babar is nonsense: Zaheer Abbas
Before Mudassar, former Pakistan legend Zaheer Abbas had also termed the comparison between Kohli and Babar as baseless. Speaking at the Cricket Prediction Conclave, he was quoted by Cricket Pakistan as saying:
He said, “Comparison is useless, Virat Kohli scores runs in every match, whereas Babar does not score runs in any match, then how can you compare? The one who scores runs is a big player.”
Kohli (35) is the fourth highest run scorer in international cricket. In 535 matches (595 innings), he has scored 27,041 runs at an average of 53.23, which includes 80 centuries and 140 half-centuries. Babar has scored 13,836 runs in 294 matches (328 innings) at an average of 47.54, which includes 31 centuries and 94 half-centuries.
