Virat Kohli may be out of T20 World Cup squad

According to the report of The Telegraph, to make a place in the T20 World Cup team. Virat Kohli Will have to perform very well in IPL 2024. The selectors are reluctant to pick Kohli for the T20 World Cup, as the management believes that the experienced player has failed to meet the needs of the team in the shortest format. Kohli has not played any T20 International match since the T20 World Cup 2022.

He played with Rohit Sharma in the Afghanistan T20 series, but was not very successful. In one of which he was out without opening the account. That report said that BCCI has left the matter of Kohli’s selection to chief selector Ajit Agarkar. This is a very delicate matter. In such a situation, people are not willing to participate in it. Agarkar had asked Kohli to change his approach to T20I cricket, which Kohli tried to implement in the series against Afghanistan, but was not successful.

The team management also believes that Kohli will not like the slow wicket of West Indies, hence Ajit Agarkar will try to give a chance to the youth in place of this experienced player. BCCI feels that young players like Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh and Shivam Dubey can be more successful in this format than Kohli.
