Recently, Pakistan Cricket Board removed Wahab Riaz, the chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team, from his post. Regarding this, the former fast bowler put forth his side on social media. He also said that he will not blame anyone for this and he is happy that the Pakistan Cricket Board had entrusted him with this important responsibility.

Let us tell you, the performance of the Pakistan team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was very poor and the team could not make it to the Super 8. After the end of this tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Board took strict decisions on Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq and they were removed from their posts. The board issued a statement in which they said that both these people have been removed from their posts with immediate effect and they will present their side regarding this later.

Wahab Riaz tweeted on his official social media account that, ‘His journey as a selector in PCB was very good and now it is completely over. I just want to tell my people that I gave my 100 percent in this game with honesty so that Pakistan cricket becomes even better. It is an honor that I was also an important part of the selection panel.’

The former fast bowler further wrote, ‘It was an honor to support Gary Kirsten and my coaching group in improving further. I am confident that the team will perform well in the future and improve their game even more. I would like to wish the team all the best for their future. I also want to thank those who prayed for me. I pray for the future success of the Pakistan cricket team.’

Wahab Riaz and the legendary players of Pakistan are currently participating in the World Championship Legends tournament. The team has performed very well in this tournament and has confirmed its place in the semi-finals. Pakistan Champions will look to perform even better in the semi-finals.
