Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has been seen praising the contribution and performance of all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. It is worth noting that in the recently concluded T20 World Cup, Hardik made an incomparable contribution to Team India’s victory.

While defending 177 runs against South Africa, Hardik took the big wickets of dangerous Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller in bowling. Apart from this, he was seen performing equally with the ball and bat for the Indian team throughout the tournament.

Wasim Jaffer praised Hardik Pandya

But despite this, I salute him for the way he came forward and performed with bat and ball.

Jaffer further said- We all knew that he was under pressure before the start of the tournament, but he raised his hand and performed well. According to me, Suryakumar Yadav’s catch in the final was a match-changing moment. If he had not taken the catch, it would have become a six, and then it would have been an easy task for David Miller to score 10 runs in 5 balls.

India won the T20 World Cup after 17 years

It is worth noting that the Indian team has won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title after 17 years under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Earlier, Team India had won the title in the year 2007 under the captaincy of Dhoni. Also, with this trophy, India’s wait of not winning any ICC trophy for the last 11 years has finally ended.
