There was a funny debate between Sim Jaffer and Michael Vaughan on social media. Jaffer took a dig at the WTC rankings by giving a funny reply to Vaughan’s tweet.
Wasim Jaffer and Michael Vaughan Social Media Banter: The ongoing debate on social media between former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer and former England captain Michael Vaughan has taken a new and interesting turn. It all started when Michael Vaughan posted a tweet demanding the creation of two divisions in Test cricket and equal distribution of wealth among Test playing nations.
Wasim Jaffer responded to this tweet of Michael Vaughan in his funny style. He made a funny comment drawing attention to England being at the bottom of the points table of WTC 2024-25. Jaffer wrote-
“Timing is everything. And Michael is a smart guy who understands that. That’s why he didn’t tweet this a month ago when the WTC table looked like this (England were bottom then).”

The England team toured India earlier this year, where their performance was disappointing. The England team led by Ben Stokes was defeated 1-4 by the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma. After this defeat, the England team slipped very low in the WTC points table.
However, England won two Test matches each against West Indies and Sri Lanka at home, which improved the team’s position in the points table to some extent. Now the England team is preparing for the final Test match against Sri Lanka, which will be played at the Oval in London from September 6.
Meanwhile, India is also preparing for the two-Test series against Bangladesh, which will be played in Chennai and Kanpur respectively. The series will start from September 19 and the Indian team is committed to perform well in it.
