Shami is completing the rehab process
Mohammed Shami played his last match for India during the ODI World Cup 2023. After the tournament, Shami suffered an ankle injury, due to which he also had to undergo surgery. Shami was unable to be a part of the home Test series against England, IPL 2024 and T20 World Cup 2024.
The fast bowler is currently completing the rehab process at the NCA. Physios and trainers are working hard with him so that Shami can achieve 100 percent fitness by October.
Can be seen playing in the Test series against New Zealand
Mohammed Shami has not found a place in the Duleep Trophy squad, but he is expected to play at least one match in the Ranji Trophy. Keeping in mind the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series against Australia starting in November, the team management would like to rest Shami in the upcoming series against Bangladesh.
After Bangladesh, Team India will be seen playing a three-match Test series against New Zealand from October 16. Shami can be seen playing in this series.
