Talking about this match, batting first, Welsh Fire scored 115 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 100 balls. Jess Jonassen was the top scorer of the team with 54 runs. Apart from her, no other batsman could cross the 25-run mark. In the end, somehow her team was able to reach a respectable score.
While chasing this score, London Spirit also did not get a good start, but opener Georgia Redmayne (34) stood firm at one end. When she was out on the score of 104 on the 89th ball, London Spirit definitely got some relief for a while, but in the end Deepti scored 16 runs in 16 balls and led the team to victory. Deepti scored a boundary as the only winning six in her innings. Georgia Redmayne was awarded the Player of the Match award for her brilliant batting.
