Pakistan suffered a 10-wicket defeat in the first Test match against Bangladesh.
Pakistan had to face defeat by 10 wickets in the first match of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. After this defeat, the team has made a shameful record, in fact the team has not won any Test match at home for 1294 days. The team won the last Test against South Africa on February 8, 2021.
Meanwhile, reports of a rift within the Pakistan team have intensified. On the fourth day of the first Test played in Rawalpindi, captain Shan Masood was seen having a heated argument with head coach Jason Gillespie. Then, the next day, Shaheen Afridi was seen removing Masood’s hand from his shoulder during the team huddle.

This is the reason why there are fights in the Pakistan team
The fights in the Pakistan cricket team have started ever since Babar Azam was made the captain again. Babar Azam had given up the captaincy of all three formats after the team’s poor performance in the ODI World Cup 2023. Shan Masood was again appointed as the captain of the Test, while Shaheen Afridi was made the captain of the white-ball format. However, after the 4-1 defeat in the T20 series against New Zealand, the board removed Shaheen from the captaincy.
Babar Azam was again appointed captain ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. Shahid Afridi and some former cricketers had expressed their displeasure over the board’s decision. After Pakistan’s shameful performance in the T20 World Cup, Shahid Afridi had said that Babar should have trusted Shaheen and should not have taken over the command again. This clearly shows that something is not right between Shaheen and Babar, but neither of them has confirmed this.
