When the hosts needed only nine runs from 12 balls, Suryakumar handed the ball to part-time offspinner Rinku Singh. He conceded only three runs while taking two wickets including the big wicket of Kusal Perera (46). Then when six runs were needed from six balls, Suryakumar took it upon himself to bowl the final over. He too bowled some off-spin, took two wickets and conceded only five runs.

Rahul Dravid took 1 wicket in Test cricket and has 4 wickets in ODI format. At the same time, Wasim Jaffer has taken 2 and VVS Laxman has taken 1 wicket in Test matches.
