Talking about the team’s approach, Ricky Ponting said, ‘It’s not a different approach, it’s just the same. Every time I come here I talk about wanting to win the IPL and nothing changes. I’m going to talk about it even more this year. It is my job to make this team successful.

‘We are not talking about winning enough games to qualify. We are talking about winning the IPL, everything we do, every training session, meeting, recovery session, every conversation I have with the players is about making them better and giving ourselves the best chance to win. ‘
